Mason Elephant Park & Lodge is situated in the forested village of Taro in Tegallalang, Gianyar. Founded in 1997 as a sanctuary for critically endangered Sumatran elephants, the facility operates to international animal welfare standards accredited by Asian Captive Elephant Standards (ACES). Facilities include an elephant bathing lake, educational museum with a mammoth skeleton replica, the Ivory Restaurant, and on-site eco-lodge rooms.
